HEY!

A New Night 03:57
My sword, lit with loaned flame, Cuts into the mass grave, Beckons nerves like earthworms, Robed in bubbled-up flesh. From nought, Love comes. I’ve never seen eyes as black as yours before— In them a new night dawns, new blasphemy. And in this holy darkness I now know: The horrid light of God burns dreams away. All I’ve known was sun-born, Never swarthy sinews. Mere peace to obey light— Love to want to grasp night. Your eyes: Fixed stars. My sword, to be interned Left, to shadow our earth. A planet to greet our love, No matter what storms ensue. Bliss in One world. A new night dawns…
3.
Then the storm comes: Dousing love’s flame, drowning life’s breath. Like treading tanks dinning God is heard: Demanding commandments— One harsh note. Our hearts play Nature’s score: Now mere noise. “Claim my wings for this crime…” Then the storm comes: Dousing love’s flame, drowning life’s breath. Lithe limbs cast to fires God calls love. Such sighs alarm only Infidels. Save her from Hell’s tortures— Outcast state. “King, she will be avenged!”
4.
I can’t close My stung eyes As the earth Comes in sight. Through the white veil… A city spiral Yawns nine storeys down, Each layer crushing As it’s in turn crushed. These suffering tenants Mask my love from me— I’ll sift through fire, Fleeing passed the veil. Through the red wail… The City of Dis Encompasses me round: Before me its sea; Behind me its flames. I narrow my eyes— Now I’m unafraid. I grip my sword hilt, Better its heat. Then I see these faces, cringing with The Lord’s law—his love as punishment— Look more like the human face I love, And I’m touched as if with my own point. I turn my sword on bigots, Even then they are angels. I can’t quell My stung heart As I watch God’s love burn. Through the blue hail… A city tower Looms nine storeys tall— Each circle perfect For the crime it hides. But something heavy Rests now on my head— The power’s in me To undo this wrong. I’ve killed all the demons plaguing man: Furies fell and devils lost their heads; Boulders razed, pitch vats overturned; River dredged and hornets blown away. New-freed shades gather now en mass— Silent, weak, astounded with new hope. The last slave, I stand before him now I’ll turn my sword on bigots, Especially on God!
5.
As I touch upon ice, Eye meets eye and we stare. “There’s no pain your lord holds,” Says the infernal king. “Do what you have to do—” He returns to his food. Then he wakes at the sight Of my sword, drenched in Hell. Mercy through my anger— “Freedom in my death!” “So you’ll tear down this cell, From the winds to the ice, Freeing all of the Thinkers— For to think is a sin. I know, for I’m the first— Not to think but rebel, Having seen more than He, Running into His bounds. “Now all of his structures Quiver at your point.” Forfeit the Devil’s life To murder the Despotic king. You have faith in this hand, That it can kill a God, He who rules from on high, Throned beyond the earth’s reach? But can my sword run through His omnipotent heart? “Know,” the Devil teaches, “No god escapes death. “God is not without a fault, He could scream out of life With a confident thought From a reason-fed brain. But his clergy performs Tasks which perpetuate The illusion that he’s Perfection when he’s not. “When you send them falling God’s remains will rain.” Forfeit the Devil’s life To get at God “I never thought this life had worth, Existing as His power’s dupe; The object of right run amok; The rock on which his church was built. Could I destroy that charnel house By letting death into my heart? Could I attenuate His might By shaking off my living’s yoke? “If He will weaken, I shall sleep! If God could dwindle, I will long To die, to be really dead!”

Inheritance 02:35

And like an arrow released I have left the Earth And journey to the planet of bright-or-deep Where I’m met with God’s blessed avant-garde Who fight or fall without the same effort shed And then the planet dimmed by the gaudy sun Unleashes its cascades of pale dreaming souls “Caesar I was, am still Justinian” I force their drop back down to the waiting Earth’s arms The morning and the dusk of the third sphere come Where gather those who lived by a poet’s song Although their eyes gazed upward with hand on chest I passed them backwards through the cone’s pointed end Then next came spinning circles: unearthly light The most creative liars: wise men of God “One, two, three will govern as three, two, one” Like broken spokes, these wheels carry souls who fall down Then up into the white on red cross I fly The faithful tall, appendages stretched but armed Who, self-encouraged, stained the ensanguined land They now feel fear, pain, danger, uncertainty An eagle’s screech sounds at the next moment’s sphere Its arching wings transformed from his terram’s M “We don’t yet know who all the elected are” If known before, they know what it means to fall now And in the following sphere I work quickly The ladder built to ascend Climbs, plummets, down With my space-black sword I’m repainting the night Not my canvas, though Where there was a Caesar dumb Now a poet writes My wings still unrepentant I teach Compassion, freedom and acts First man and pope With my space-black wings I’m repainting the sky Not my canvas, though Where there was a Caesar dumb Now a poet writes And in a blink I’m there, the place that’s first to move Where angels, nined, surround a blurred point of light They come at me, the Gospel their lance and shield Like reason cuts through Bibles, they know my point And then the sickly rose rears its petals white I spill my ink and make a new garden black “The hate that moves the sun and the other stars” Explodes into dull splinters of cosmic dust With my space-black sword I’m repainting the night Where a Caesar ruled Now a poet rewrites We have gave to Lords We have given to God Now we give our own Repossessed good and ill We will rewrite God, so many falling stars

There’s no Hell Or Heaven Just our minds (Perspectives) We are self-ruling We think our liberty I end my journey down through Nine realms that met their end I step unto the Earth The only plane that bears, now, meaning The Earth’s now fully peopled From up and down below They marvel at their life The bright/dark world of human beings I have my own amazement The night within your eyes It’s only in your arms That I feel that I’m home forever Then the shades notice my wings The only superhuman They kneel to worship me They bow their heads low They show their reverence They want to make a new god out of me I draw the night’s sword To stop this worship Before religion manifests anew As I up-wield my weapon Her face then reappears Its stunning calmness holds My hand to see what she will do next Her mouth drops slackly open She’s no strength left for words Her eyes bid me to look I do as all the shades bear substance Astounded, I look back but She’s now so dim to sight I long to hear her voice Then, as goodbye, I feel her last act Then my wings their covers shed One feather then another Dead bones hit the ground as dust I feel my lead limbs I feel my swift heart I feel my mind dream of what’s out in space I have an ending A finite time to live One chance to love my heart out then no more We can’t invent a better world Where human minds blaze at a godly peak If we could only be as good as when we Destroyed the tyrant, God There is no God to impress That fire’s quieted All cosmic hierarchy Is razed like Sodom and Gomorrah The shades now gather as one One Earth community We gaze into a sky Donning a universal blackness A new sky full of showers Stars never seen again We make a wish on them That nothing will rule us but ourselves Then I hold you as a man And you hold back as wives do In the eyes of Man we love And so a page turns One chapter met its close Before us, though, an infinite of blanks We saw the stars fall We saw the fires die We welcomed a new night, the dawn of Man There’s no one But humans God is dead Let there be life – God is dead Let there by love – God is dead
